How We Can Help:

Sunderland Telecare provides support to approximately 4500 customers who are linked to the Telecare Service 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Sunderland Telecare provides:

A wide range of Telecare equipment that is linked to Sunderland City Council’s highly trained call handlers who will assist you if you are in difficulty and deploy a mobile response worker to your home if required.
Touch of a button access to support and assistance if you have a fall or need the emergency services
Security and reassurance; help in remaining independence and living safely at home
Peace of mind for yourself and your family

Scam Warning

Sunderland Care and Support have been made aware that customers are being contacted by fraudulent organisations, who are taking advantage of the digital switchover by trying to take payment for new Telecare equipment. Customers who receive such a call should never give their bank details to make payment and should hang up. Sunderland Care and Support will never ask you for payment over the telephone.

Digital Switchover

The digital switch over in the UK, set to complete by 2025, marks the transition from analogue to digital telephone landlines and presents a challenge for Telecare services which rely on the traditional analogue system for which many individuals depend on to maintaining their independence.
