Coping with Coronavirus restrictions…
Across the UK, thousands of Shared Lives households are at home as Lockdown becomes mandatory.
This means that our Sunderland Shared Lives customers, many of whom need significant support, are living in a safe place with their Shared Lives carer and for many, this is the safest place they could be.
Mary, Angela, and their family have had so much fun from Bingo and quiz nights on FaceTime with extended family, to crafts, jigsaws, cooking, painting, dancing, badminton, and dog training!!
The 75th VE Day Celebrations occurred during Lockdown. Our very own Shared Lives carers celebrating by truly getting into the spirit….
Kevin and Steven have learned all about being a Team, below is their VE Day celebrations where they put the lessons into practice with Steven decorating the home and Kevin enjoying the Party.

During the lockdown customer Helen Graham, living with Marie and David Bell, has been doing black wax scratch pictures and has donated this one to us for the Shared Lives office wall.
Sunderland Shared Lives carers Mr & Mrs Tommy and Emma O’Connor celebrate 60 years of marriage and received a Royal message from the Queen.
