Day Services – Current Position

In light of the Government announcement regarding a third national lockdown that was implemented on 5th January, we can confirm that day services remain open.

We are regularly reviewing our risk assessments and Covid-Security processes and we continue to take advice from Public Health and consult with colleagues in Adult Social Care (ASC) and the Council regarding our decision to keep the day services open at this current time.

We acknowledge the importance of our day services for our valued customers and their families, and we will always ensure that your safety is the utmost priority.

We continually work with our staff and colleagues on Covid-19 awareness and Infection Prevention & Control training to ensure our practices are robust and maintain the safest possible environments for customers.

We would ask that you all pay particular attention to the recommendations from Government and NHS on the ways in which you can limit the spread of the virus, as by doing so, you are contributing to the ability of the services to operate. This is especially important as the new strain of Covid-19 is more transmissible and we have had some confirmed, but contained and controlled cases in both Washington and Fulwell Community Resource Centres in December and January respectively.
