Day Service Closure

We regret that Sunderland Care and Support Ltd (SCAS) has taken the decision to temporarily close day services at both Washington and Fulwell Community Resource Centres from Monday 9^th November 2020 with the last day of service on Friday 6^th November 2020.

This decision has been influenced by the Government’s announcement on national restrictions, the increase in the number of Covid positive cases and what this means in terms of the risk assessments in place in the day centres.

Whilst we acknowledge the impact on customers and families of closing day services, we believe it is the right way forward in order to try and protect our customers, families and staff.

Adult Social Care (ASC) were included in the decision to close Fulwell and Washington and contact will be made with you throughout the closure period by colleagues in ASC and SCAS.
