•  Globally 3,018,952 cases (66,226) and 202,597 deaths (4,076 new).

As at 28 April 2020:

•   In the UK there were 207,973 cases (4,076 new) and 26,097 deaths (765 new)

•   In the North East there were 7,224 cases (50 new)

•   In Sunderland there were 1,098 cases (0 new)
