Apprenticeship Success!

Here’s Shannon Newby’s apprenticeship journey.

“My name is Shannon Newby, I have recently completed a 13-month apprenticeship at Farmborough court. At Farmborough court we provide rehabilitation care for people who have undergone trauma illness or surgery which has affected them. I chose to work in this sector as it is very rewarding to know you’re helping an individual reach their maximum potential, helping them gain independence and boost their confidence. Working with the elderly I have learnt a lot of information which I will carry with me for lifetime. Learning how much the world has changed and about history. If anyone is thinking of joining the care sector, do it! You will learn a lot from the individuals you support, and it makes your day better knowing you helped an individual to regain confidence and to make their life easier.” – Shannon Newby
