Janet Forsyth & Lisa Dunn have gone beyond their duty on Sunday morning, as whilst on the way to an alarm/response the staff noticed a lady lying on the side of the road. Janet stopped the vehicle as it was clear to see that the lady had in fact broken her ankle, Janet and another member of the public offered support to the lady and Lisa went onto to attend the alarm/response.
Janet and the member of the public supported the lady by getting blankets and ringing for an ambulance. After contacting for an ambulance, they were told that the response time was going to be up to 2 hours so the member of the public involved offered to take the lady themselves to the hospital, so she could be free from the cold, wet weather and seek medical treatment quicker. At this point Lisa had attended the alarm/response and both Janet and Lisa were able to contact the lady’s family who lived nearby to help return the lady’s pet dog which she had been out walking with.
Given the current circumstances we are all living in at present its lovely to see the goodwill of both Lisa, Janet and a member of the public supporting others in passing, is a true inspiration and of course the kind of response we would all welcome had that been one of our own family members at the side of the road that morning.
