Within my role at The Point Sunderland I was an events supervisor; this included working with the client on their journey throughout booking the event to after. I would promote and advertise our venue by using social media, word of mouth and by networking with previous clients and events. I would then go through the finer details of the event with clients and management to ensure we had everything perfect; this would include sourcing new equipment and themed ideas to ensure the customer would have the experience they were looking for. During this full time, I would work with the management team to ensure the venue was staffed, cleaned, health and safety standards were at the required level. On the night of the event I would run the floor ensuring everyone knew their roles whilst also handling cash and running the full team.
I came to Sunderland Care and support because I wanted a new challenge! A Career! To develop my skills and do something I would love. I think Sunderland Care and support is fantastic with an awesome team behind them ensuring all our customers’ needs are met with real passion. I have been extremely lucky that in the short time I have worked for Sunderland Care and Support I have completed induction training, my Care Certificate as well as Safe Handling Of Medication through the local college!
